Killjoy setups: every map
18 setups for Killjoy across 8 maps, drawn on the official minimap: every ability, where it goes and what it covers.

Killjoy A: Turret on A Tower, Nanoswarms on the entrance, Alarmbot at the ascender
Site ADefenseThis setup holds A with few players. The Turret on A Tower covers A Main and forces attackers to destroy it. The two Nanoswarms hold the accesses on each side of the entrance, and the Alarmbot warns you when someone comes up the ascender. Weakness: an attacker who knows the positions destroys the Turret before entering.
- 1
TURRET : Turret on A Tower, facing A Main - 2
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the left side of the entrance (variant: on the crate to the left) - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the right side of the entrance - 4
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot at the arrival of the A Tower ascender
Killjoy B: Turret on B Tower, Alarmbot at B Danger, Nanoswarm on the plant
Site BDefenseThe Turret on B Tower gives early info on B Main. The Alarmbot hidden behind the B Danger pillar spots anyone coming along the ledge. The Nanoswarm on the plant zone delays the spike, and on a map with long rotations, those seconds count. esports.net variant: the Turret on B Link, to cover flanks from Mid Bottom. esports.net, on the other hand, finds the Turret of little use on the B side.
- 1
TURRET : Turret on B Tower, watching B Main - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot behind the B Danger pillar - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the B plant zone, to delay the spike
Killjoy B: two Nanoswarms in Hookah, Turret on Tube
Site BDefenseThis setup blocks attackers coming out of Hookah. One Nanoswarm in the corner between the big crate and the Hookah wall, a second on a cushion on the floor, and the Alarmbot against the Hookah entrance toward the site. The Turret goes on Tube, a bit to the left when looking from Hookah: the author moved it from the back of the site. Weakness: the sounds give the Nanoswarm away.
- 1
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm in the corner between the big crate and the Hookah wall - 2
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm thrown on a small cushion on the floor, in Hookah - 3
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot against the Hookah entrance toward the site - 4
TURRET : Turret on Tube, a bit to the left when looking from Hookah (unofficial name, approximate position)
Killjoy B: lock down B Garden with Nanoswarms and a hidden Turret
Site BDefenseTo hold back a push coming from B Long into B Garden. One Nanoswarm aims at the middle of the left door frame, a second at the wall (the article is vague on the exact spot), and the Alarmbot hides against the right frame. The Turret, placed on a plank, stays out of sight of Hookah and B Garden. One Nanoswarm also covers the outer nook, a common attacker position.
- 1
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the middle of the left B Garden door frame, crouched - 2
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm at the intersection of the lines of the right wall corner and a mark on the wall - 3
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot against the right door frame, out of the attackers' sight - 4
TURRET : Turret on a wooden plank, facing the site
Killjoy A: retake with Lockdown from A Link and Nanoswarm toward the cubby
Site ADefenseA retake lineup on A after the plant, taken from a 2022 article. Throw the Lockdown from the A Link corner: it covers almost the whole site and forces attackers to leave or hide in the cubby. Throw the Nanoswarm toward that cubby to take their cover away. Your team waits for the trigger before entering. Weakness: no exact throwing position for the Nanoswarm.
- 1
Lockdown : Lockdown thrown from the A Link corner, it covers almost the whole site - 2
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm toward the cubby to take cover away from the attackers
Killjoy B: Turret on the Mid side, Alarmbot and Nanoswarms on the center crate
Site BDefenseA setup taken from a 2023 guide with annotated top-down views. The Turret takes a corner of the site on the Mid side, to see who is coming. The Alarmbot and two Nanoswarms go around the center crate, near the plant spots: they are there to disrupt a plant and deal damage. Weakness: the guide considers B hard to hold and does not give the exact throws.
- 1
TURRET : Turret in the site corner on the Mid side, facing the entry - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot on the site, Mid side, in front of the center crate - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the center crate, plant side - 4
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm on the center crate, on the other side of the Alarmbot
Killjoy C: Turret and Alarmbot in Garage, Nanoswarms in front of the site entrance
Site CDefenseA C defense setup described by a 2023 guide: Turret and Alarmbot along Garage to spot anyone sneaking in, two Nanoswarms in front of the site entrance from Garage. You play from Logs to aim at the entrance without getting caught by the Nanoswarm. Weakness: positions are given at the zone level, with no precise throw; check them in game.
- 1
TURRET : Turret along Garage, to spot anyone sneaking in - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot next to the Turret, in Garage - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm in front of the site entrance, left side of the Garage exit - 4
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm a bit further, toward the right corner of the entrance
Killjoy A: Alarmbot near the plant, Nanoswarms and Turret under A Top
Site ADefenseA passive setup to punish a rush on A. The Alarmbot warns you when attackers enter, the two Nanoswarms cover the default plant, and the Turret goes at the foot of A Top, near the rope. Weakness: a Nanoswarm seen several times is easy to avoid. The sources predate 12.05, which changed the A plant zone: check the positions in game.
- 1
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot near the default plant box, it covers the whole site - 2
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm next to the default plant: it hits rushers - 3
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm next to the Alarmbot, to punish those entering together - 4
TURRET : Turret at the foot of A Top, near the rope: a smoke on A Top doesn't cut its view
Killjoy B: Turret in A Link, Alarmbot on B Main
Site BDefenseA setup against a push through B Main. The Turret watches A Link and the site entrance, the Alarmbot covers the center of the B Main entrance, and both Nanoswarms go off as soon as it rings. Weakness: it becomes predictable if you replay it every round.
- 1
TURRET : Turret in A Link: it sees A Link and the B entrance - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot at the center of the B Main entrance, site side, between the two Nanoswarms - 3
Nanoswarm : First Nanoswarm on the ledge of the B Main entrance wall - 4
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm next to the Alarmbot, to throw when it rings
Killjoy C: Alarmbot at the entrance, Turret on the big box
Site CDefenseC has only one L-shaped entry, so the Alarmbot rings fast there and the Nanoswarms hurt. The first is near the Alarmbot, the second on the ledge you reach by jumping. The Turret, on a big box at the back of the site, watches the arrival. Weakness: if the enemy team has already spotted your traps, it avoids them.
- 1
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot at the edge of the site entrance, it sees both corners - 2
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm near the Alarmbot, to punish a fast entry (Jett, Raze) - 3
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm on the ledge at the back, thrown at the peak of your jump - 4
TURRET : Turret on the big box at the back of the site, hard to reach
Killjoy A: Turret on the generator, Alarmbot at the back of the site
Site ADefenseA setup centered on the A generator. The Turret, placed on top of it, covers both entries of the site, and the Alarmbot stays deeper so that attackers have committed before it triggers. The guide adds two Nanoswarms on either side of the generator corner, thrown on the Alarmbot's signal, but doesn't specify the sides: place them in a custom game. 2023 guide; A has only received minor fixes since.
- 1
TURRET : Turret on top of the generator, to cover the left entry and the right one - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot deeper in the site, so it triggers after the commit (approximate position)
Killjoy B: Turret and Alarmbot on B Market for mid pushes
Site BDefenseFor B, dodge.gg (March 2026) puts the Turret on a connector to watch the mid flanks, the Alarmbot in B Market, and Lockdown on a site. The only guide with precise positions (2023) predates the B rework in patch 9.08: only the zones are kept, no fine positions. Weakness: B Main still has to be covered with a weapon.
- 1
TURRET : Turret on the B Market connector, to watch flanks coming from mid - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot in B Market, to be warned of a split through mid - 3
Lockdown : Lockdown on the site to push back a site take or the post-plant
Killjoy A: Turret on the crates, Alarmbot and Nanoswarms at the door
Site ADefenseThe setup covers the site entrance on the A Link door side and the default plant. The Turret watches from the stacked crates on the left wall, the Alarmbot tells you who comes through the door, and the Nanoswarms punish those who bunch up. If you get pre-aimed, move the Turret to the green boxes, the generator or Heaven. The guide avoids playing mid with Killjoy.
- 1
TURRET : Turret on the stacked crates on the left wall, or on their raised part - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot on the path to the A Link door - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm around the Alarmbot in front of the door: those hit stay in the zone - 4
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the default plant, to punish a planter
Killjoy B: Turret on the boxes, Alarmbot and Nanoswarm in the alley
Site BDefenseAccording to the guide's author, B is the site where Killjoy shines the most. The Alarmbot and a Nanoswarm in the entrance alley, a very common push, bring easy kills. A second Nanoswarm on the plant surprises a planter. The Turret goes on the green boxes, or in Logs. To clear, hold from the Boat House.
- 1
TURRET : Turret on top of the green boxes on the site (variant: Logs) - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot in the alley where attackers push - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm next to the alley Alarmbot - 4
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the default plant
Fracture
Open the full Fracture guideKilljoy A: Turret at the back, Nanoswarms on the entrance and A Drop, Alarmbot on A Rope
Site ADefenseThis setup covers the accesses to A. The Turret, in the back right corner of the site, watches A Link and A Rope. One Nanoswarm holds the entrance from A Main, another the foot of A Drop, and the Alarmbot warns you of an arrival through A Rope. Then hide under the platform in the back right corner to trigger the Nanoswarms. Weakness: a spotted Turret goes down fast, and the Alarmbot can be destroyed from range.
- 1
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm at the site entrance, A Main side - 2
TURRET : Turret in the back right corner, view of A Link and A Rope - 3
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm, at the foot of A Drop - 4
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot on A Rope, to be warned of an arrival that way
Killjoy B: Nanoswarm on B Main, Turret behind the crates, Alarmbot in Tower
Site BDefenseThis setup closes B through B Main and the back of the site. A Nanoswarm waits at the entrance from B Main, the Turret goes behind the crates on the site, and an Alarmbot near the B Tower rope warns of a push from the top. A second Nanoswarm in B Tower completes the defense. Then stay hidden at the back of the site. Weakness: B Tower is exposed if it gets smoked.
- 1
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm at the site entrance from B Main - 2
TURRET : Turret behind the crates on the site - 3
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot in B Tower, near the climbing rope - 4
Nanoswarm : Second Nanoswarm inside B Tower
Killjoy A: Alarmbot on the site, Nanoswarm on the plant
Site ADefenseThe guide describes A as a site where the enemy comes through a big choke. The Alarmbot is there to spot an engagement on the site, and the Nanoswarm denies the default plant. The exact spots in the first-person screenshots could not be located: positions are by zone, not pixel-perfect, and the Turret is not drawn.
- 1
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot on the site to spot a take (approximate zone) - 2
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on the default plant to delay it
Killjoy B: Turret near Snowman, Alarmbot behind Yellow
Site BDefenseThe guide finds B thankless for Killjoy. The Turret can go near Snowman, at the back. The Alarmbot sees a full take or an enemy hiding behind Yellow, and the Nanoswarms delay both default plants. Weak point: the Alarmbot and the Nanoswarm have little other use here.
- 1
TURRET : Turret at the back, near Snowman - 2
ALARMBOT : Alarmbot behind Yellow, against hidden enemies - 3
Nanoswarm : Nanoswarm on a default B Site plant
