Damage by range
Damage per bullet by body part, and shots needed to kill an opponent with 100 HP wearing: Heavy Armor.
| Range | Head | Body | Legs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 to 20 m | 156 (1 shot) | 39 (4 shots) | 33.15 (5 shots) |
| 20 to 50 m | 140 (2 shots) | 35 (5 shots) | 29.75 (6 shots) |
How to play it
The Phantom shines up close and at medium range, where its 11 rounds per second give you the shortest time to kill. Fire in bursts of 3 to 5 rounds, or in a controlled spray once the target is hit. Its suppressor hides tracers and covers the sound of shots beyond 40 m, which helps hold an angle or flank without being spotted. Right click zooms 1.25x and reduces recoil a little. Beyond 20 m, the head drops to 140 and the body to 35: aim for the head and fire shorter.
When to buy it
A full buy at 2,900 credits, with armor and abilities. A good choice when you mostly play close and medium range, where its 11 rounds per second count. Avoid it on a force buy: it costs as much as the Vandal and leaves few credits for the rest.
Strengths
- 11 rounds per second: the body time to kill against 100 HP (0.182 s) is shorter than the Vandal's.
- Silenced: tracers are invisible to enemies and the sound of shots can't be heard beyond 40 m, except in the direction of the shot.
- A headshot kills an enemy with no armor or Light Armor at any range, and even Heavy Armor up to 20 m (156 damage).
- Its spray is known to be easier to control than the Vandal's, which forgives small aiming mistakes.
Weaknesses
- Damage drops after 20 m: 140 to the head, 35 to the body. Against Heavy Armor, a distant headshot leaves the enemy at 10 HP.
- A 30-round magazine for only 60 in reserve: a missed spray is costly over the length of a round.
- The Vandal kills with a headshot at any distance and against any armor: at long range, it leaves the opponent less room for error.
- Very inaccurate on the move (up to +6° while running): you have to stop before shooting.
Tips
- Counter-strafe then shoot: the weapon is very inaccurate while running, and a bullet fired on the move goes almost at random.
- Under 20 m, a headshot is enough even against Heavy Armor: favor short, clean shots over a long spray.
- Beyond 20 m, fire 3-round bursts and let the crosshair reset, then go again: the spray drifts quickly.
- Take advantage of the silence to hold an angle: the enemy can't see where the tracer comes from, but still change position after a kill.
The aim to train

Strafe Track
Tracking while strafing
The Phantom's spray is played by stopping then following the target: tracking while moving trains this recoil reading.
Drills to improveSpeed
Fast target switching
The high fire rate chains targets: knowing how to switch targets quickly during a spray wins you multi-enemy duels.
