Cypher setups: every map
14 setups for Cypher across 8 maps, drawn on the official minimap: every ability, where it goes and what it covers.

Cypher A: wire across A Main, second wire at A Tower, camera on A Main
Site ADefenseThe wire across A Main, at head height, warns you of the main entry. A second wire on the A Tower ascender exit warns you of the vertical flank. The camera on A Main lets you retake from A Back Site with info, on a less expected angle than the one everyone aims at first. Weakness: the wires are visible if the opponent looks for them.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire across A Main, at head height - 2
Trapwire : Wire at the A Tower ascender exit - 3
Spycam : Spycam on A Main, to play the retake from A Back Site
Cypher B: wire on B Danger, camera on B Tower, Cyber Cage on B Main
Site BDefenseThe wire placed vertically at B Danger, the ledge at the back, announces the flank and can make a slowed opponent fall off the edge. The camera on B Tower gives you info without exposing you, and the Cyber Cage on B Main slows a rush while the info comes in.
- 1
Trapwire : Vertical wire at B Danger, near the edge - 2
Spycam : Spycam on B Tower - 3
Cyber Cage : Cyber Cage on B Main to cut the rush
Cypher A: wires on A Short and Lamps, camera on Cubby
Site ADefenseThe setup holds A Short from Lamps. One Trapwire runs from the left side of the teleporter hinge to the A Short crates: the attacker has to expose himself to shoot it. A second wire runs from the right side to the Lamps wall. The Spycam, aimed at the vents above Cubby, covers A Short, the teleporter and the Lamps entrance. Weakness: these wires are spotted fast.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire from the left teleporter hinge, attached to the A Short crates - 2
Trapwire : Wire from the right teleporter hinge, attached to the outer Lamps wall - 3
Spycam : Camera on the vents above Cubby, view on A Short and the Lamps entrance
Cypher B: wire and cage on Garden, wire in Hookah
Site BDefenseTo slow B Garden and Hookah. The wire runs along the right of the Garden entrance, and the cage placed in front blocks the view of an attacker trying to shoot it. A second wire, in Hookah, forces them to show themselves. Weakness: the Hookah wire can be heard and the setup gets memorized, so vary your placements.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire along the right side of the B Garden entrance - 2
Cyber Cage : Cyber Cage on the small white mark on the floor, to hide the wire - 3
Trapwire : Wire against the Hookah entrance wall, stretched toward the crate cushion
Corrode
Open the full Corrode guideCypher A: wire and Cyber Cage on the A Main entrance, camera above
Site ADefenseThe setup closes the A Main entrance. The wire goes at eye level while crouching, the Cyber Cage works as a one-way in front of the entrance, and the camera sees the whole entrance. The Cyber Cage and the wire cover each other. The positions come from first-person captures from before 13.08: check them in game.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire at eye level across the A Main entrance, crouched - 2
Cyber Cage : One-way Cyber Cage in front of the entrance, to throw from A Yard - 3
Spycam : Camera fixed at the top of the entrance, it sees all of A Main
Cypher B: wire on the B Main entrance, Cyber Cage and camera on the site
Site BDefenseThe wire, placed at eye level at the B Main entrance, delays the plant and catches dashers like Jett and Neon. The green structure in the middle of the site carries a camera that sees all of B and a second wire attached to the wall opposite. The Cyber Cage triggers with the camera.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire at eye level on the B Main entrance, crouched - 2
Trapwire : Wire from the green structure to the opposite wall, in the middle of the site - 3
Cyber Cage : One-way Cyber Cage near the pillar, crouched, to activate with the camera - 4
Spycam : Camera on the green structure, it covers the whole site
Cypher A: two Trapwires side by side at A Long, camera on the site
Site ADefenseA setup shown on Haven A by a pro in 2022. Two Trapwires placed right next to each other in front of A Long: if the first is destroyed, the second still warns you. The Spycam under the site roof covers plants, so keep it off until the retake. The Cyber Cage cuts the Short angle. Play from Heaven to get the most out of it. Weakness: the most visible wire goes down fast.
- 1
Trapwire : First wire at the A Long entrance, site side - 2
Trapwire : Second wire right next to the first, in case the first one is destroyed - 3
Spycam : Camera under the site roof, off until the retake, to see the plant - 4
Cyber Cage : Cyber Cage on the Short angle to cut the view. Exact position not specified by the source
Cypher A: wire on A Tree, Cyber Cage to hide yourself
Site ADefensePlace a Trapwire on the A Tree entrance, with a Cyber Cage to hide your position, then play from the back of the site or from A Drop, with the rope as a fallback. The source dates from 2023, before the 8.0 rework and patch 12.05: recheck the placement in game.
- 1
Trapwire : Trapwire across the A Tree entrance - 2
Cyber Cage : Cyber Cage behind the wire to hide your position - 3
Spycam : You play from the back of the site, the rope behind you as a fallback
Cypher B: wires on the B Main entrance and on A Link
Site BDefenseB has two narrow entries that wires cover well. Place the first at the edge of the B Main wall and the second in B on the A Link side, with a Cyber Cage in the site. Play the Phantom: the Vandal's tracers give your position away. This source is from 2023, so check the angles after the map rework.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire at the edge of the B Main entrance wall, visible from B Upper - 2
Trapwire : Wire in B, as close as possible to A Link - 3
Cyber Cage : Cyber Cage in the site to hide yourself after the detection
Cypher C: wire at the entrance and wire on the C Waterfall lane
Site CDefenseThe C entry is L-shaped: attackers have to be punished right away. One wire on the entrance, another on the narrow C Waterfall lane to protect your team's rotation, and a Cyber Cage on each to hide yourself when you shoot. Play from the back of the site or from C Waterfall. 2023 source: check the positions.
- 1
Trapwire : Wire on the C entrance - 2
Trapwire : Wire in the narrow C Waterfall lane - 3
Cyber Cage : Cyber Cage on the entrance to hide your position while shooting - 4
Spycam : You hold from C Waterfall or the back of the site
Cypher A: two Spycams, Mid Top and the back of A Elbow
Site ADefenseTwo cameras to read the attack on A. The first, at the top of the Mid Top ledge, sees A Main, the site and A Elbow and warns the team of an A take. The second, at the back of A Elbow, goes unnoticed by attackers looking left and shows you their legs in A Main. Weakness: a destroyed camera leaves you without info, so play it with a fallback angle.
- 1
Spycam : Spycam on the ledge of the tower on the right, from the Mid Top railing: view on A Main, the site and A Elbow (approximate position) - 2
Spycam : Camera in the upper right corner of the back wall of A Elbow: view on the site and on legs coming from A Main
Cypher B: camera on the B Main entrance, wire at the Market door
Site BDefenseThe pro nAts finds B easier to defend, because attackers have to clear a lot of angles before the Boat House, your strong position. Your camera watches B Main from above the entrance and a wire, near the switch of the door to Market, warns you of a flank. 2021 source: the other elements of his setup are left out, for lack of a reliable position. The positions remain approximate.
- 1
Spycam : Spycam above the B Main entrance - 2
Trapwire : Trapwire near the switch of the door to Market
Fracture
Open the full Fracture guideCypher A: Trapwires on A Drop and A Main, one-way Cyber Cage on A Door
Site ADefenseA Trapwire on A Drop and another at the A Main entrance cover two accesses. The Cyber Cage thrown from the A Rope corner onto the frame of the mechanical door, on the A Door side, works as a one-way smoke. Rotate through other positions each round. Weakness: Trapwires can be destroyed, and the exact position of the cage has to be tested in game.
- 1
Trapwire : Trapwire along A Drop - 2
Trapwire : Trapwire at the A Main entrance - 3
Cyber Cage : One-way Cyber Cage on the frame of the mechanical door, thrown from a corner of A Rope
Cypher B: Trapwires on B Main and B Arcade, one-way Cyber Cage in B Arcade
Site BDefenseTrapwires cover a lot of ground along B Main and B Arcade. A one-way Cyber Cage in B Arcade, thrown from the corner near the crates, closes the top route. Another, on a B wall, is played from B Tower, where you see the enemies' feet. Weakness: B stays open and attackers have two accesses, so watch your back.
- 1
Trapwire : Trapwire along B Main - 2
Trapwire : Trapwire on the B Arcade route to the site - 3
Cyber Cage : One-way Cyber Cage, thrown from the corner near the B Arcade crates
