Vyse A : Shear set back from the A Main choke, Razorvine behind it
Site ADefensePlace the Shear a little back from the entrance choke, not in the choke itself: triggering it with a jump or an ability becomes risky for the attacker. One Razorvine lands behind it, on the site floor, to slow the player the wall just cut off. The Arc Rose goes on the back wall: it sees the whole site and a bit of A Main. Against a Jett or a Raze, pull your Razorvine back a little.
- 1
Shear : Shear set back from the choke: a wall rises behind the first attacker who enters - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the site floor, right after the Shear, to slow the entrant when the wall triggers - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the west back wall: it sees the whole site and a little of A Main
Vyse B : Shear across B Main, Razorvine on the ledge and on the floor
Site BDefensePlace the Shear across the B Main entrance, on the site side, a little back from the choke. The Arc Rose goes up high from B Tower, once the round has started: placed that high, few players notice it. One Razorvine goes on the glass ledge, well inside the edge, the other on the site floor. Chef thinks the ledge Razorvine is not a placement the game intends: it could get fixed.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the B Main entrance, a little back from the choke - 2
Arc Rose : Arc Rose placed high from B Tower after the round starts: few players see it - 3
Razorvine : Razorvine on the glass ledge of the site, placed well inside the edge - 4
Razorvine : Second Razorvine on the floor, on the site grass near the B Main entrance: it covers the site well
Vyse A : Arc Rose toward A Lamps, Razorvine at the A Short exit and in front of A Bath
Site ADefenseYou hold the front of A site. The Arc Rose goes up high on the wall between A Lamps and the site: it covers the whole front of the site. One Razorvine covers the exit of A Short and the teleporter, the other the floor in front of A Bath, which players call Showers. That way your Razorvine covers both entrances. Change their positions depending on where you want to take your duels.
- 1
Arc Rose : Arc Rose high between A Lamps and the site: it covers the whole front of the site - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine at the exit of A Short and the teleporter, to slow anyone entering from there - 3
Razorvine : Razorvine on the floor in front of A Bath (Showers), east side of the site
Vyse B : Arc Rose on the B Hall side, Razorvine toward Hookah and toward B Garden
Site BDefenseFor B, the Arc Rose goes up high on the B Hall side, behind the site: it blinds whoever enters and lets you take the duel. One Razorvine goes on the floor in front of the Hookah exit (B Window), not too close to the wall, otherwise it will not spread into Hookah. The other goes on the floor southwest of the site, toward B Garden. Play back, behind your traps.
- 1
Arc Rose : Arc Rose placed high behind the site, on the B Hall side, to blind whoever enters - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the floor southwest of the site, toward B Garden, to slow the entry - 3
Razorvine : Razorvine in front of the Hookah exit (B Window), not too close to the wall so it spreads into Hookah
Corrode
Open the full Corrode guideVyse A : Shear across A Yard, Razorvine and Arc Rose in front of the site
Site ADefenseYou hold the arrival of A Main in A Yard. The Shear blocks A Yard from side to side, east of the site. Two Razorvine land on the floor between the Shear and the site wall. The Arc Rose is placed by jumping into the round opening of that wall. You play behind the crate or on the right side of A Main. Source predates 13.08, which changed the A plant zone: check in game.
- 1
Shear : Shear across A Yard, east of the site, to cut off the first player who enters - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the floor of A Yard, at the foot of the site wall, to slow the entry - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine farther south in A Yard, near the end of the Shear, to slow the player who got cut off - 4
Arc Rose : Arc Rose placed by jumping into the round opening of the wall between the site and A Yard
Vyse B : Shear across the east entrance, Razorvine at the edge of the site
Site BDefensePlace the Shear across the east entrance of B site, on the B Main side, and a Razorvine right behind it, at the edge of the site: the attacker cut off from their team ends up slowed. You play from the back of the site. The video adds an Arc Rose on B Tower and a second Razorvine, not included here: the back of B changed in 13.08. Source predates this patch, check in game.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the east entrance of the site, on the B Main side - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the east edge of the site, right behind the Shear
Vyse A : Shear at the A Long exit, Arc Rose up high at the back
Site ADefenseYou block the A Long exit into the site with the Shear: the attacker who crosses it is cut off from their team. The Arc Rose, placed from Heaven (A Tower) high at the back of the site, helps you hold the site or play aggressive toward A Long. Trigger it when the wall rises, then finish the duel. The trigger can be heard: alternate with the variant that closes the A Short corridor.
- 1
Shear : Shear at the A Long exit into the site: it isolates the first entrant - 2
Arc Rose : Arc Rose placed from Heaven (A Tower), high at the back of the site: it covers the site and the top of A Long
Vyse B : Shear at the Mid-side entrance, Arc Rose near the wall
Site BDefenseOn B, the Shear blocks access to the site from Mid Courtyard. Chef uses it as an alarm against lurks: you know when someone enters without having to watch that side. The Arc Rose, placed near that wall, helps you push out toward mid or retake the site. When the wall rises, trigger it, then take the duel. This placement leaves the other B accesses without a trap.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the site access on the Mid Courtyard side: it cuts the entrant off from their team - 2
Arc Rose : Arc Rose placed near the wall: to push out toward mid or retake the site when the wall rises
Vyse C : Shear on the site entrance, Razorvine in the corridor
Site CDefenseOn C, the Shear closes the site entrance on the C Long side: the wall isolates the entrant. The Razorvine, placed farther down the corridor, slow them before the wall. The Arc Rose, up high on the back wall of the site, is for the duel on the site or to get info on C Long. Play behind the wall and trigger the Arc Rose as soon as it rises. Shear and Razorvine cost 350 credits.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the site entrance on the C Long side: it isolates the first entrant - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine in the corridor on the C Long side, in front of the wall: they slow the attack before the wire - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose up high on the back wall of the site: for the duel on the site or info on C Long
Vyse B : Shear on the entrance from B Main, Arc Rose under the arch
Site BDefenseOn B, the Shear blocks the site entrance from B Main: Chef uses it as an alarm against lurks. The Razorvine, right behind the wall on the site side, slow a B rush. The Arc Rose, placed under the arch above the site, is mostly for the retake. When the wall rises, activate the Razorvine and take the duel. This placement leaves the A Link access without a trap.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the site entrance from B Main: it isolates the first entrant - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine right behind the wall, on the site side: they slow a rush through B Main - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose under the arch, above the site: Chef keeps it for the retake
Vyse C : Shear at the foot of the site, Arc Rose up high near C Bend
Site CDefenseOn C, the Shear blocks C Main at the foot of the site, a little back from the exit: the entrant ends up isolated. The Razorvine right in front of the wall slow them. The Arc Rose, placed up high near C Bend, is hard to spot and hard to destroy, even after use. A lurk can go around this wall: keep an eye behind you.
- 1
Shear : Shear across C Main, at the foot of the site: it isolates the first entrant - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine in C Main, right in front of the wall: they slow the attack before the wire - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose up high near C Bend: trigger it when the wall rises
Vyse A : Shear far behind the entrance to the A Garden area
Site ADefenseThe wall goes in the passage that climbs from A Main to A Garden, well past the choke: a team that wants to bait it has to commit already. One Razorvine is placed out in the open behind the wall, or spread farther out if you want to cover more space. The Arc Rose goes wherever you want to fight: in front of the crate, on the corner of the rocks, at the back of the site or on the back wall near the door.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the passage from A Main to A Garden, far behind the choke - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine out in the open behind the wall, to slow whoever crosses it
Vyse B : Shear in the B choke, Razorvine in the middle of the site
Site BDefenseThe Shear blocks the B entrance from B Main, in the choke. One Razorvine is thrown straight behind it, in the middle, or spread farther out to cover more ground. To catch a dash or a fast entry, place it on top of the crates instead. The Arc Rose goes on one of the site corners, to cover as much space as possible. A wall in the choke is easier to test than a set-back wall like the one on A: vary your placement.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the site entrance from B Main, in the choke - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine straight behind the wall, in the middle of the site
Vyse A : Shear on A Elbow, Arc Rose at the back of the corridor
Site ADefenseThis setup holds the A Elbow side. The Shear closes the corridor: nobody slips through without triggering it, and whoever crosses it is cut off from their teammates. One Razorvine is placed behind the wall, the second at the site entrance on the A Main side to slow a fast push. The Arc Rose is attached to the back wall. When an enemy crosses the wall, you activate the Razorvine and the Arc Rose, then swing out. Change your placement every round, the Shear trigger can be heard.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the A Elbow corridor, against the starting barrier - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine behind the wall, to trap whoever leaves the corridor - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the back wall, at the top of the A Elbow corridor - 4
Razorvine : Second Razorvine at the site entrance on the A Main side, against a fast push
Vyse B : Shear on the B Main entrance, Arc Rose above B Market
Site BDefenseThe Shear blocks the B Main entrance into the site: an enemy who steps out of the smoke to trigger it ends up exposed. The Razorvine blocks the stairs and the plant niche, which traps a Jett who enters with a dash. The Arc Rose is placed on the ledge above B Market, near the orange sign, and sees almost the whole site. You stay at the back: when the wall rises, you activate the Razorvine, then blind and swing out.
- 1
Shear : Shear on the B Main entrance into the site, in line with the B Market smoke - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the stairs and the plant niche, right behind the wall - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the ledge above B Market, next to the orange sign
Vyse A : Arc Rose on the back wall, Razorvine at the generator and in A Tree
Site ADefenseThe Arc Rose goes up high on the west back wall, under Heaven: it works in most situations on the site. One Razorvine lands at the foot of the generator, a second in A Tree, on the path of players coming from mid. They slow attackers who enter. You can also save the second Razorvine to slow a push through mid.
- 1
Arc Rose : Arc Rose high on the west back wall of the site: it covers the site for a duel - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine at the foot of the generator, on the site, to slow whoever enters - 3
Razorvine : Razorvine in A Tree, in front of the small arched door, on the path of players coming from mid
Vyse B : Arc Rose up high, Razorvine at the entrance and under the boat
Site BDefenseThe Arc Rose goes up high on the facade overlooking the B entrance: you can place it during the buy phase, then use it to get info or to fight. One Razorvine covers the floor at the B Main exit, where a Killjoy molly would land. The other hides under the boat on the site, where enemy abilities struggle to destroy it.
- 1
Arc Rose : Arc Rose high on the facade of the B entrance, placed by jumping onto the ledge - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the floor at the B Main exit, on a Killjoy molly spot - 3
Razorvine : Razorvine hidden under the boat on the site, safe from abilities that would destroy it
Vyse A : diagonal wall far from the choke, Razorvine hidden behind the ramp
Site ADefensePlace the Shear diagonally, far back from the choke: to trigger it, the attacker has to check several angles, so it is hard to clear. Both Razorvine land at the foot of the ramp, behind a bit of terrain where shots cannot hit them: only an ability destroys them. The Arc Rose goes on the corner of the pyramid. Play behind it: the entrant is slowed and isolated.
- 1
Shear : Shear placed diagonally, well back from the choke, from the corner of the bricks - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine at the foot of the ramp, safe from gunfire: only an ability destroys it - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine at the foot of the ramp, aligned on the same ground markers - 4
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the corner of the pyramid, to blind those entering the site
Vyse B : wall in the choke, Arc Rose in front of the pillar, Razorvine at the back
Site BDefenseFor B, the Shear goes right in the choke south of the site. The Arc Rose goes on the front of the pillar, in view of the choke. The two Razorvine together cover the whole site: one is thrown as a lineup from a corner and lands up high, so it is hard to destroy, the other sits on a rock. If your Razorvine get destroyed from one round to the next, slip them into the alcoves: Chef says they are almost impossible to destroy there.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the choke south of B, the whole passage is cut off - 2
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the front of the pillar on the site, facing the choke - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine placed on a rock, between the pillar and the choke - 4
Razorvine : Razorvine thrown as a lineup from a corner: it lands up high, is hard to destroy and spreads to the corner of the ladder
Fracture
Open the full Fracture guideVyse A : Shear at the top of A Main, Razorvine right behind the wire
Site ADefenseThe Shear blocks the top of A Main, at the edge of the site. The Razorvine placed right behind it, on the site side, slow the attacker the wall cut off from their team. The Arc Rose stays hidden under the overhang, in the corner of the site on the A Drop side. When the wall rises, activate the Razorvine, trigger the Arc Rose and take the duel. If the attack goes elsewhere, keep these abilities for the retake.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the top of A Main, flush with the site: it warns you and isolates the first entrant - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine right behind the wire, on the site side: they slow the attacker isolated by the wall - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose hidden under the overhang, in the site corner on the A Drop side: trigger it when the wall rises
Vyse B : Shear at the end of B Main, Razorvine right before the wire
Site BDefenseOn B, the Shear blocks the exit of B Main, placed to the side: to trigger it, the attacker has to step far forward. The Razorvine placed in B Main, right before the wire, slow the attack even before the wall. The Arc Rose on the site forces the enemy team to spend utility to destroy it. When the wall rises, trigger the Arc Rose, then shoot.
- 1
Shear : Shear placed sideways at the top of B Main, at the site entrance: the attacker has to step far forward to trigger it - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine at the top of B Main, right before the wire: they slow the attack even before the wall - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose placed on the site: its mere presence pushes the attack to spend utility
Vyse B : diagonal Shear in B Arcade, Arc Rose near B Tower
Site BDefenseWhen the attack takes B Arcade, close that lane with the Shear rather than B Main. Placed diagonally, it only triggers if the attacker steps forward in the open. The Arc Rose, placed to the side, sees over the wall: trigger it when the wall rises, then take the duel. This placement leaves B Main without a trap: play it if your team already holds that entrance.
- 1
Shear : Shear placed diagonally in B Arcade: the attacker has to step forward in the open to trigger it - 2
Arc Rose : Arc Rose to the side, near B Tower: it sees over the wall and blinds whoever triggers it
Vyse A : Razorvine in Maze, Shear to the southwest, Arc Rose at the back
Site ADefensePlace the Arc Rose up high on the back wall of the site, the Razorvine in Maze, then the Shear on the southwest access once the barrier drops. When you hear the attack coming, activate the Razorvine: they push it toward the wall. When it rises, trigger the Arc Rose and take the kill. A second Razorvine charge can be placed behind the wall.
- 1
Arc Rose : Arc Rose up high on the back wall of the site: trigger it when the wall rises - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine in Maze, west of the site: once active, they push the attack toward the wall - 3
Shear : Shear on the southwest access of the site, placed once the barrier drops: it isolates the entrant
Vyse B : Shear in front of Yellow, Razorvine near the plant, Arc Rose at the back
Site BDefenseOn B, you play around the Yellow container. The Shear blocks the passage in front of Yellow, on the attack side. The Razorvine, placed between Yellow and the site, force the attack to go around the container, so through the wall. The Arc Rose, up high on the crane at the back of the site, blinds it when the wall rises. A second Razorvine charge can slow B Main.
- 1
Arc Rose : Arc Rose up high on the crane, at the back of the site: trigger it when the wall rises - 2
Shear : Shear between the wall and the Yellow container, on the attack side: it cuts the entrant off from their team - 3
Razorvine : Razorvine between Yellow and the site, near the plant: they force the attack to go around Yellow
Vyse A : Shear on the A Main exit, Razorvine and Arc Rose at the back
Site ADefenseThe Shear closes the passage between A Main and the site: an enemy who enters is cut off from their team, and nobody can sneak through without triggering it. The two Razorvine side by side cover the front of the site, and the Arc Rose is placed up high at the back. You wait at the back, activate the Razorvine when the wall rises, then blind and swing out. Change where you shoot from every round: the Arc Rose becomes destructible as soon as it blinds.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the passage between A Main and the site, at the foot of the stairs - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine right behind the wall, on the site entrance side - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine next to the first, on the plant path - 4
Arc Rose : Arc Rose up high, on the roof at the back of the site, facing the entrance
Vyse A : angled Shear at the top of the A Art stairs
Site ADefenseThis setup closes the A Art corridor, which connects mid to A. The Shear is placed at an angle at the top of the stairs: placed in the middle of the steps, the attacker can jump over it. The Razorvine are right behind it, the Arc Rose farther along the corridor wall. Nobody gets from A Art to the site or to A Link without triggering the wall. This wall is easier to bait than a site wall: do not keep it two rounds in a row.
- 1
Shear : Shear placed at an angle, at the top of the A Art stairs - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine right behind the Shear, in the corridor that climbs toward A - 3
Arc Rose : Arc Rose farther along, on the corridor wall toward A Link, to blind whoever crosses the wall
Vyse B : Shear on the B Main entrance, Arc Rose on the B Tower side
Site BDefenseThe Shear starts from the building pipe and blocks the B Main entrance into the site: whoever comes up the long straight line ends up isolated. Two Razorvine wait right behind it, one on the site, the other toward B Screen, and the Arc Rose is placed on the B Tower side. Even if your team smokes B Main, the attacker has to step out of the smoke to test the wall, in view of the site. You can hide behind the wall when it rises, once or twice per game, then change spots.
- 1
Shear : Shear from the building pipe, across the B Main entrance into the site - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on the site, right behind the wall - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine in the B Screen corridor, right behind the wall - 4
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the B Tower side, attached to the wall, to blind the site
Vyse A : Shear on the A Main exit, two Razorvine on the site
Site ADefenseThe Shear blocks the A Main exit at the planter box: it is farther back than the site entrance, so it is harder to bait than a wall stuck to the choke. The two Razorvine cover the front of the site, and the Arc Rose is placed on the wall. You play from the back of the site, or from Heaven: when the wall rises, you activate the Razorvine, then blind and swing out. The Razorvine also work against agents who dash.
- 1
Shear : Shear across the A Main exit, at the planter box - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine in front of the wall, in the passage leading to the site - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine on the site, at the edge of the plant zone - 4
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on a panel of the site wall, to blind the entrance
Vyse B : diagonal Shear, one Razorvine on each side
Site BDefenseThe Shear is placed diagonally on the B entrance, with a Razorvine on each side of the wall: whoever crosses the trap is isolated and slowed. The Arc Rose is attached to the back of the site. You play from the back of the site, activate the Razorvine as soon as the wall rises, then blind. The wall is only visible at the last moment, so it works well against a team that rushes B. Players who go around the site force you to hold an angle.
- 1
Shear : Shear placed diagonally on the B entrance, on the B Garage corridor side - 2
Razorvine : Razorvine on one side of the wall, toward the middle of the site - 3
Razorvine : Second Razorvine on the other side of the wall, toward B Back - 4
Arc Rose : Arc Rose on the panel at the back of the site, facing the entrance
