Damage by range
Damage per bullet by body part, and shots needed to kill an opponent with 100 HP wearing: Heavy Armor.
| Range | Head | Body | Legs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 to 50 m | 115.5 (2 shots) | 35 (5 shots) | 29.75 (6 shots) |
How to play it
The Bulldog is an automatic rifle at 10 rounds per second. On right click, it aims down sights with a 1.25x zoom and fires 3-round bursts with tight grouping, more accurate at medium and long range. Damage is constant from 0 to 50 m: 115.5 to the head, 35 to the body, 29.75 to the legs. Against an enemy with no armor, a headshot kills; with any armor at all, it takes two. Play it in short bursts, or aimed with a pause to let the crosshair return to center.
When to buy it
A half force or a thrifty full buy when you can't afford a 2,900-credit rifle: it leaves enough for armor and abilities, and keeps money for the next round. On a complete full buy, take a Vandal or a Phantom instead.
Strengths
- 2,050 credits: it leaves enough to buy armor and abilities, with constant damage across the whole range.
- Aimed, the 3-round burst starts with 0.1° of spread on the first shot (0.3° on left click): more accurate than spraying at range.
- A 3-round burst to the head kills against every armor (3 x 115.5), as long as you land all three.
- Automatic fire rate of 10 rounds per second: decent for a close-range spray.
Weaknesses
- A single headshot (115.5) only kills a 100 HP enemy with no armor: with Light Armor or Heavy Armor, it takes two.
- It kills to the body in 3 bullets against 100 HP, but 4 or 5 against an armored enemy: the body duel is slow.
- The spray takes practice, and when aimed the recoil is only slightly reduced: a burst doesn't spare you from resetting your crosshair.
- Lower damage than the Vandal (115.5 versus 160 to the head, 35 versus 40 to the body): weaker than the other rifles as soon as you can afford them.
Tips
- When aimed, fire one burst then let the crosshair return to center before the next: recoil is still there even in burst mode.
- Aim for the head with the burst: three bullets at 115.5 kill even an enemy in Heavy Armor if they land.
- When spraying up close, follow the recoil drift with your mouse instead of holding the trigger for long.
- Counter-strafe before shooting: +6° of spread while running, so a burst fired on the move lands far from the target.
The aim to train

Precise
Smooth precision tracking
3-round bursts demand exact crosshair placement on the head: it's precision tracking.
Drills to improveStatic
Clicking on static targets
Each burst is triggered after a flick onto a stationary target: the first bullet decides whether all three hit.

Compare with
GuardianThe Guardian costs 200 credits more, kills with a headshot against any armor and in 2 body shots (3 against Heavy Armor), but it fires semi-automatically with 12 rounds.
VandalThe Vandal costs 850 credits more and kills with a one-shot headshot even against Heavy Armor; the Bulldog makes up for it with its price and its burst mode.
