Damage by range
Damage per bullet by body part, and shots needed to kill an opponent with 100 HP wearing: Heavy Armor.
| Range | Head | Body | Legs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 to 10 m | 152 (1 shot) | 39 (4 shots) | 33 (5 shots) |
| 10 to 30 m | 128 (2 shots) | 39 (4 shots) | 33 (5 shots) |
| 30 to 50 m | 112 (2 shots) | 34 (5 shots) | 28 (6 shots) |
How to play it
The Bandit fires one bullet per click, with an 8-round magazine and a 1.5 s reload. It's built for heads: 152 damage under 10 m, 128 from 10 to 30 m, 112 beyond. To the body it only does 39 then 34, so it takes three to five bullets. It kills with a headshot under 10 m even against Heavy Armor. Stop before every shot: movement makes it inaccurate. Pick tight angles over long duels against a rifle. It received a recoil adjustment in patch 13.00.
When to buy it
At 600 credits, it's a good buy on pistol rounds, eco rounds, and half buys, as a cheaper alternative to the Sheriff, with Light Armor. On a full-buy round, it backs up a rifle only if you have credits to spare. Keep the Classic if your credits are short.
Strengths
- Under 10 m, a 152-damage headshot kills in one shot even against Heavy Armor (152 - 50 leaves 102 damage to HP).
- From 10 to 30 m, a 128 headshot still one-shots an enemy with no armor or Light Armor.
- Cheaper than the Sheriff (600 versus 800 credits), with a fast 1.5 s reload for a heavy pistol.
- Medium penetration: you can punish an enemy behind thin cover, which the Classic can't do.
Weaknesses
- Only 8 rounds per magazine: a string of missed shots leaves you with no answer against several enemies.
- To the body it only does 39 then 34: it takes three to five bullets depending on range and armor, so a duel without a headshot puts you at a disadvantage.
- Beyond 30 m, the head drops to 112 and one shot no longer kills Light Armor; the Sheriff keeps the edge.
- It's less forgiving than the Classic or the Ghost: every aiming mistake is costly.
Tips
- Stop dead before every shot: the Bandit needs an accurate first bullet, and movement badly degrades it.
- Take short duels, on angles or in corridors, where a headshot kills in one shot; avoid long open duels against a rifle.
- Back up a shot with a flash or a slow to give yourself time to line up a headshot, instead of firing fast at the body.
- Count your bullets: with 8 rounds, reload behind cover after each duel instead of repeeking with a half-empty magazine.

Clicking on static targets
The Bandit is played on the head: you need to place the crosshair at head height and fire cleanly at a nearly stationary target.

Clicking while strafing
Movement degrades accuracy: counter-strafing right before the tap is essential to land the headshot.
