Machine guns
Odin: damage and tips
The Odin is a 3,200-credit heavy machine gun with 100 rounds, a fire rate that climbs as you shoot, and strong penetration. It's the second most expensive weapon.

Damage by range
Damage per bullet by body part, and shots needed to kill an opponent with 100 HP wearing: Heavy Armor.
| Range | Head | Body | Legs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 to 30 m | 95 (2 shots) | 38 (4 shots) | 32.3 (5 shots) |
| 30 to 50 m | 77.5 (2 shots) | 31 (5 shots) | 26.35 (6 shots) |
How to play it
The Odin fires automatically at 12 to 15.6 rounds per second, the fire rate rising as you shoot, with 100 rounds and a 5 s reload. When aiming down sights (right click), the maximum fire rate is immediate. Its high penetration opens up walls and light cover. Two headshots kill at any distance, even against Heavy Armor. Crouch on an angle, aim down sights, and spray. It's heavy (5.13 m/s versus 5.4 for a rifle) and slow to equip: save it for defense or retakes.
When to buy it
The Odin is bought on a full-buy round, when you're sure you can keep the weapon. At 3,200 credits, it needs a solid economy, and it loses value if you die early. It excels on defense, on site angles and retakes. Avoid it when the team plans fast peeks on attack.
Strengths
- Two headshots kill at any distance, even against Heavy Armor, in about 0.08 s.
- Fire rate of 12 to 15.6 rounds per second and 100 rounds: you hold an angle longer than with any other weapon.
- High penetration: you punish enemies behind walls and crates, including at known positions.
- Aiming down sights gives the maximum fire rate right away, which removes the ramp-up delay in a short duel.
Weaknesses
- Price of 3,200 credits: a round lost with the Odin is very costly for the economy.
- 5 s reload and 1.25 s equip: if the enemy catches you mid-handling, you lose.
- Very limited movement (5.13 m/s versus 5.4 for a rifle, 6.5° of spread while running): peeks and repeeks are risky.
- For 300 credits less, a Vandal or a Phantom makes far faster peeks; the Odin is only worth it on a held angle.
Tips
- Use aim down sights on fixed angles to get the maximum fire rate right away, with a 1.15x zoom.
- Shoot through walls at known positions: its high penetration makes it very strong against area control.
- Crouch to reduce spread (x0.6) and keep the crosshair at head height: two bullets are enough to kill.
- Never reload in the open: 5 s is an eternity, change position first.
- Watch your magazine: 100 rounds is generous, but a long spray with no target leaves you exposed for 5 s.
The aim to train

Precise
Smooth precision tracking
You have to keep the crosshair on an enemy's head through a long spray, with recoil that climbs then stabilizes.
Drills to improveReactive
Reactive tracking
You hold an angle and have to react fast to an enemy who appears: reactive tracking decides the duel.

Compare with
AresThe Ares costs 1,600 credits, half the price; the Odin hits harder to the body (38 versus 30, so 3 bullets instead of 4 with no armor), but both kill in 2 headshots.
VandalThe Vandal costs 300 credits less, fires at 0.25° on the first shot versus 0.8° for the Odin, and moves faster; the Odin wins on penetration (high versus medium) and magazine size (100 rounds versus 25).
